Why clear sells
Transparent and bling-crystal pieces make up more than 400 SKUs on the leading brand site. They photograph well, they read as rare, and they justify the top price in a case.
The water-bead trap
Historically the crunchy feel inside a clear paw came from water beads. Since 12 March 2026 those beads must pass a 5.0 mm gauge, and two dumpling products were recalled in September 2026 for failing it. Specify solid micro-beads in TPR gel and ask for the expansion test.
Glitter must be sealed
Surface glitter sheds and fails the small-parts test. Glitter suspended inside the gel does not. Ask for a close-up photo of the seam.
Clarity grade
Optical-clear TPR costs more than tinted; decide by channel. Blind-box programs want optical clarity for the rare tier; bulk singles can use tinted gel.
Ordering
Mixed colourways in one carton are standard. Ask for the CPC to cite 16 CFR 1250.4 with an N/A statement.
